About me

Autistic Therapist LGBTQ Therapist Neurodivergent Coaching

I am originally from territory Muisca in the Eastern Colombian Andes. I have been based in NYC for almost 11 years.

The work I do is guided by both my professional training and my life experiences as a Queer immigrant and neurodivergent person of Global Majority (aka BIPOC).

I believe in not pathologizing people and I am passionate about co-creating with my clients a therapeutic space that feels safe so that we can hold with compassion and curiosity their life stories, tend to the parts that need healing, and gently challenge thoughts and behaviors that are no longer serving them.

I utilize DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Neurodivergent Affirming Support*, Psychoeducation, Narrative Therapy, and other therapeutic modalities such as creative expression.

I approach my sessions with curiosity, a trauma-informed lens, and cultural sensitivity.

*When I say Neurodivergent Affirming Support, I truly mean it! Unmasking, stimming, avoiding eye contact, echolalia, sharing about special interests, fidgeting, and other ways of being and communicating are welcome and encouraged in our sessions.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services including psychotherapy services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
